GA1: DISARMAMENT AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY
The first Committee of the General Assembly, and rightly so- the Disarmament and International Security Committee is one that has played a pivotal role in shaping the world as it is today. This Committee, deals with threats to world peace, while simultaneously maintaining healthy international relations among the nations of this world. With agendas involving blood diamonds and Extremist Propaganda, delegates will be pushed to the limit of their debating skills, as they try and come up with innovative and efficient solutions to our worlds problems.

THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL

It is a well-known fact that the world's judicial system is far from perfect. At Legal, we give you a chance to perfect these laws- make new laws, amend old unjust laws, and be the Harvey Dent or Alan Shore you always wanted to be. We will be discussing two topics this year, criminal accountability of UN and State officials and Contemporary Law at Sea, both of which require complete dedication and thorough research, including case studies. Legal is a committee that is known for its high intensity of debate. So put your best foot forward, and help us make this one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
This year the ECOSOC will be focusing on two major problems that face the world. Both these agendas will involve a very polarized pool of countries and so diplomacy and discussion matter the most. The ECOSOC is known for its skill in coordination and planning. It is this legacy that we have to uphold.
The Special Political and Decolonization Committee has an irreplaceable role in the new age of intense nationalism and aggression between world powers. Nations invading others is not an anomaly anymore, International free waters are not so free anymore. Help us reinstate the respect, the sanctity and the strength of international rules and conventions in this increasingly barbaric world by combatting the powers that disregard international rules and conventions.
